What “Been So Good” Is About

Each verse works like a journal page — calling God faithful/Savior, listing evidence: promises kept, needs met, presence in every step, wrongs redeemed. Chorus: “You have been so good to me” — plain, repeated until it sinks in. “God, I can’t believe how You love me” — wonder, not textbook theology. God as friend.

The Lyrics, Section by Section

Verse 1: God as “faithful” — promises kept, every need met, choosing remembrance over amnesia. Pre-chorus: God’s hand never letting go. Chorus: the thesis — “You have been so good to me.” Verse 2: God as “Savior” — redemption, washed clean, trust without sight. Bridge: full litany of thanks — morning by morning, open doors, mountains climbed, forgiveness, salvation.
